Minutes of the Meeting of 17 June
Hello everyone, I'm Danilo Ronchi and greet the participants of the meeting last night.
Participation unfortunately fell short of our expectations. Of course there was the excuse, given that many have been advised only the day, and certainly many have not even seen the message. We are guilty parties behind. Unfortunately we do not have much time and we all work and have a family. I hope that all parents understand.
Apart from that the meeting went well, very well. We discussed the usual topics that we all know well, and has had a profound dialogue with concerned parents. There was also a city councilor, Zerbini, and I think this is a good thing.
The reasons given by Zerbini have left us quite indifferent, they are more or less the same things said by the administration although it should be noted in the mats to be addressed and tried to help us understand certain dynamics certainly exist and which require cofnrontarci. I personally have really enjoyed his speech and his presence. Obviously the parents, and us, we put forward alternative solutions to the problem and especially given the importance of the thing, the greater involvement of the City towards us. Zerbini also admitted that the affair was handled badly, and we were treated "not suitable".
What do we do now?
The higher is directed at maintaining and strengthening contacts during the summer because we fear that if we were to take to the streets we would not be able to contact all parents. From
operational point of view, as I said yesterday, waiting by the councilors convened a meeting for further "private" after the region has taken a decision on the request for a waiver for the use of ASP (and particularly the Valley Rimini) to manage the school meals.
Since that time there will be an institutional meeting with city council, mayor and leaders needed for a comparison.
and then go to a meeting to talk to parents about how best to move.
Some themes emerged last night: The
school meals in primary schools is questionable to be politically correct. The school meals in the municipalities that have privatized in kindergartens (Bellaria, Morciano, Santarcangelo) is significantly worsened.
The parents' request to municipalities is mainly to the ASP but not even thinking of leaving the service of which we are all happy and performing well, as it is and to think of outsourcing alternatives that are viable even though painful in a different climate.
await your comments and ideas.
Greetings to all.
Danilo

Outsourcing canteens: development, release and press
As you all know the problem of parents' canteens outsourcing is far from over. We
Presidents of kindergartens and nursery schools of the Municipality of Rimini are not at all happy that you are prolonging the story and how we are treated by our mayor.
Monday, June 8 we met again with the majority of the presidents of the kindergarten parents to share our ideas with a view to meeting with the mayor that was held the following day, with over 3,000 signatures to show the mayor to say that we're not kidding .
The outcome of the meeting with our First Citizen was bleak. Here you can read the press release we have produced presidents:
PRESS
representation of the presidents of the councils of parents, after having requested a meeting with the Mayor both as citizens and as a substitute Councillor to Educational Services, to explain reasons why parents of children attending the nursery school challenge the decision to outsource the canteen service, was received by the same along with Dr. Borghini on 09/06/2009.
meeting was dedicated primarily speak with Dr. Borghini, including commitments
mayor who was absent after no more than half an hour after his arrival.
The meeting was clearly highlighted the willingness of the City Council to outsource canteens, regardless of the alternative opportunities that have been proposed and are not were not evaluated.
prompted to provide direct control of the canteens, which otherwise would lose the value of public service integrated into the educational role of kindergartens, Dr. Borghini ensured that everything is perfectly set in the tender for the award contract and nothing is left to chance. But the logic and the life of each one of us say that what is written in a contract can not guarantee what you ask.
The glass ceiling is noted at the meeting assumed a political adamant. But
is motivated by what?
The questions that arise are not few: "Why such a hurry, if no legislation is indicated date by which to adjust the spending ceiling of staff? Why were not taken into account alternative proposals? "
the future are the children aware of a company investing in them!
is at stake on one hand the quality of the food we eat, the educational and emotional relationships established with the kitchen staff and the other the lack of clarity of this absurd "move" to outsource the canteen . What's really under? Who really gains?
Previous experience of outsourcing, both public and private sectors, teach that they do not lead to savings, indeed! So why do it ???!!!
were mobilized in all schools to collect signatures and the meeting shall have been submitted nearly 3,000, but the Mayor gave little importance to the presentation them.
Dear Mayor, do not think that we parents of school children we made gentle, only because it promises - in words - that nothing changes in the quality of food and relationship with the kitchen staff. We ask to take charge of our request to terminate the outsourcing of kitchens, to seriously seek alternative routes that we know for sure exist.

Then there was a meeting place in the municipal council of Rimini, called by trade unions and they were also a few parents to make the group a common problem.
Here you can download the press release of the papers that have broad significance to the thing: press.
We are now organizing a public meeting with the parents of children attending kindergartens and nursery schools to let them know the next steps to take and share information in our possession. You will be notified soon about where and when.
